Randy Johnson is a lawyer with 25 years of experience in the practice of law in Illinois, both in the state and federal courts. Mr. Johnson's practice is concentrated in the fields of domestic relations, appeals, and criminal defense. He has prepared and presented in excess of 200 appeals in his career in the Illinois Appellate Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Mr. Johnson has been licensed to practice law in good standing in Illinois since 1978, and received his license to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit that same year. Mr. Johnson is also a certified member of the trial bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and enjoys an AV rating from the oldest legal rating body in the United States.
Mr. Johnson graduated with distinction from the John Marshall Law School, Chicago, in 1978, and is a member of the Order of John Marshall, an honorary society for those graduating in the upper 15% of their class. Mr. Johnson is a member of the Illinois and Kane County Bar Associations. He served as Chairperson of the Appellate Practice Committee of the Kane County Bar Association for four years, and is currently a member of that committee.
Randy Johnson is an involved member of his community and of his Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church of East Dundee, Illinois. There he has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for four years, completing his term in June, 2004, and also currently serves on the Board of Elders.
Mr. Johnson received his B.A. degree (cum laude) in political science from Carthage College, Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 1975 and his J.D. (with distinction) from the John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois in 1978.
