Mr. Richmond is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Kane County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He has served as Co-Chair of the New Lawyers Division and is currently Chair of the Public Relations Committee of the Kane County Bar Association. Mr. Richmond is a member of the Elgin Breakfast Rotary and a member of Rotary International.

Mr. Richmond is a Village Trustee in the Village of South Elgin, Illinois. He is the Board liaison to the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee.

Mr. Richmond is also the past Chairman of the Board of the South Elgin Economic Development Council (SEED), a private, not-for-profit corporation created to provide input and guidance on South Elgin economic development matters and to recruit and assist the Village of South Elgin in developing and implementing long term economic development goals.

Mr. Richmond received his B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University in 1990 and his J.D. (with High Honors) from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1995. He was a Vice-President of the Chicago-Kent Moot Court Honor Society from 1993-1995.
